Indonesia Outreach (28th June - 25th July 2008)

LIVE REPORT FROM SUZETTE

Greetings from Indonesia! We just came back from Nias where we had a wonderful open-air outreach. I would say over the 4 nights we preached to about 10,000 people face to face and only heaven knows how many people listened by radio. Because it was rather hard to break through I increased the meetings, I did not withdraw. No use to let go, rather increase and believe the Lord to bring a move and that is exactly what happened.

Like always, Jesus healed the sick and saved the lost. Many healings took place, the Lord healed necks, bones, shoulders, backs…However, the one healing that blessed me the most was a little boy of about 10 years, born deaf and dumb, brought to the meeting by his brother. The next moment he could hear perfectly! I tested him again and again but it was clear: He could hear! After the preaching and the testing and testifying of the miracles we closed the meeting and then still prayed one by one for all the disabled & sick with cancer, tumours etc. Oh, how deeply we are depending on Jesus - the need of man is so great, we prayed until 11:30pm and even midnight for the sick in the heat where it is 27 degrees in the evenings!

The local radio got involved too and broadcast our meetings for 3 nights live over the entire Island and beyond. They recon that about 30-40% of the people would listen in; that would still give us an audience of 150 – 180 thousand!

Then we returned to Jakarta where we had a Women’s Conference. 1,000 women piled into the room. Some faces I knew and many not, however as I looked over the faces a deep love flowed into my heart. These people are so sincere, we had a wonderful meeting. It was also such a joy to me to launch my first book in Indonesia.

In the next two weeks I’ll be preaching in two different cities. During the second week we’re expecting to see 5 to 8,000 leaders come and attend the morning seminars! At night, the meetings will be open for all people. The hall can seat 12,000.

Thank you for standing and praying with us. Without your prayers, we could not do what we are doing!

Latest Report today direct from Suzette in Semarang, Indonesia

Having just spoken to Suzette in the past few minutes and heard what the Lord has been doing in Semarang, I wanted to pass it on to you so as you too can be blessed.

The evening Gospel outreaches are held in the largest church building as we were unable due to restrictions to go open air, however the venue seats approx 4000 and the past few nights have seen this venue full. Suzette has been preaching and many thousands have come to know the Lord as Personal saviour. Many miracles have been happening and God has truly been showing His power.

The morning seminars have had well over 2000 Pastors and Leaders, many of whom we have sponsored to come in from remote villages in order to be equipped and encouraged to continue where they are. This has had tremendous impact. Unfortunately due to other commitments I was unable to be there this time to help Suzette with the ministry programme, however a brother by the name of Ian Andrews from the UK has been a tremendous blessing to the people and also to Suzette.

This morning Suzette did an anointing meeting where she laid hands on all the Pastors and Leaders to impart into them. She anointed them with Oil and God moved in a mighty way. As you can imagine this is quite exhausting but in her spirit Suzette is rejoicing. She wants you all to know who read this that she appreciates every prayer and is blessed by the support of our prayer partners, together the harvest is being reached and we all have a share!

I trust this has blessed you as you read it and please continue to pray, there is still one week more of meetings and opportunity of impact into that Nation before Suzette returns home.

God Bless you!

More fresh news from Semarang! (July 18. 2008)

This is really the city of prayer. Our host and his family paid a very high price for their faith in that city. First his house was burned down by fundamentalists, then a car bomb was put on their car, hoping to kill him but his wife happened to be driving the car that morning. That car bomb blew off her leg, she is now in a wheelchair. However, there people serve the Lord with a different kind of commitment. I was deeply moved in Semarang by the sincerity of the people, heaven came very close to us. There is also a wonderful unity amongst the pastors in that city.

Our meetings went excellent and the Lord blessed greatly. Like always we have teaching, salvations and healing but the last night I spoke on prayer and the rekindling of the fire and passion for prayer - wow did the people cry before the Lord! The people blessed us beyond measure! They could not do enough for us like always, doing themselves short to bless us. The last evening the entire senate of that movement in Semarang came to the meetings. The same morning God spoke to me and told me to pray and anoint the leaders that night, I had not clue that all those leaders would attend the last meeting. Oh how wonderful and faithful is the precious Holy Spirit. It truly was Heaven invading earth in Worship, Salvation, Healing and so much more.

NEWS FROM JAKARTA (July 19. 2008)

Greetings from Jakarta…

As you may know, yesterday was a very special day for me at our orphanage. We first went to the orphanage that we supported for many years. Many of the children we know, some have moved on to other places and we saw some new faces too. Not all the children were there as some were still at school but as you can see from the photos they still put up quite a welcome for us. We ate with them and that in itself is a wonderful experience like always.

Our own building:
Then we moved on to the orphanage that we built. We are not the only supporters, a local businessman gave the land and some funds for the building, VIC is the main supporter of this particular building and one business man from the USA gave the rest. The building is big and beautiful and of cause did they work day and night to show us the place, the children moved in only 3 days before our visit. I played and laughed with those kids, to think of those 29 kids, where would they have lived if it were not for our orphanage. Every one of them would have been either aborted or killed or abandoned on the streets. Our Children’s home can host 100 children and quite an amount of expecting mom’s (young girls that fall pregnant, of all different kinds of faiths) will live there until the babies are born. Our youngest child is 3 months old. Within two weeks the building will also be used as a medical centre, I like that very much. So we are not only having an orphanage we are also having a Community Centre that will minister to the entire community.

More news from Jakarta:

This morning the team was down in the hotel lobby at 6am quite something for some of them that are not “early risers” but they were there in full force. We went to join the intercession that has been taking place every Saturday morning for the last 2 months in the Istora (the indoor stadium where the meetings will take place next week). The conference next week will be quite something. We sponsor at least 2,000 pastors from the interior and islands. At least 1,000 sleeping on the floor in the side rooms of the Istora. Then there will be food booths everywhere where the people can eat. They will turn the car park into a garden and believe me they you will think you are in a garden. Not only that 6 MEDICAL DOCTORS AND DENTISTS WILL BE TREATING THE PASTORS FROM THE INTERIOR FOR FREE, all this will be going on behind the scenes. Remember that we will have pastors from EVERY REGION AND AREA OF INDONESIA may the Lord help us to impact them.

 May the Lord bless you!

The last news from Indonesia (July 22. 2008)

Meetings in the Istora

The “Faith & Restoration Week” kicked off tonight in the Istora stadium, which is located right in the heart of Jakarta. Around 5.000 people representing all areas of Indonesia joined together in praise and worship before Suzette came to the stage to bring a message from the Lord. The message Suzette had prepared was not the message she preached as the Holy Spirit wanted to take the people in a different direction. Suzette spoke on keeping the target in the call of God and ended the message with an alter call to which 200-250 people responded. The people came to the front and dedicated or re-dedicated their lives to God; some through tears, some through shouts of joy. By the grace of God many people were also healed during the worship times and gave testimonies at the close of the meeting. Tomorrow Rev. Ian Andrews will do two sessions on Healing and Suzette will speak at the evening meeting. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Day 2 of the “Faith and Restoration” conference was a packed day! There were a total of three seminars in the day with two being led by Rev. Ian Andrews on healing. These meetings were powerful and many people were healed and even more equipped to be able to pray for healing for others. Suzette led the evening meeting and spoke on Luke 5:17-26 which is about Jesus healing a paralytic. It was a powerful message which clearly motivated and inspired the people. Suzette then asked for the people that desperately need a miracle to stand, to which most of the auditorium stood. We agreed together in faith that God would answer us in our time of need and then flowed back into worship. Suzette then asked for the people with bone problems to stand and probably about 20% of the people there stood up. We all prayed for healing for them and then about 50-70 people came forward to testify of their healing, a lot of whom had been in motorcycle accidents which Suzette had had a word of knowledge for. Tomorrow morning Suzette will lead two sessions, one of which will be an impartation meeting. Then we will fly home on the evening.

Indonesia

Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim-majority nation, with almost 86% of Indonesians declared Muslim according to the 2000 census.

Suzette and the team will be going to Nias, one of the remote islands, to preach the gospel. Nias is an island off the western coast of Sumatra. It was hit in December 2004 with the tsunamis and also in March 2005 with a powerful earthquake. No public transport is available to the outreach ground so we will hire trucks to bring the people to the outreach. Two healing outreaches/seminars will be held in Semarang and Jakarta, both on the island of Java. Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia with over 10 million people.

The situation in Indonesia can be quite dangerous at times, therefore we will have a prayer and fasting chain during the Indonesia outreach. Please pray with us for God to move in that Nation during the outreaches and especially for a special outpouring of healing. Thank you for standing with Suzette and the team during this intense time.
