Suzette, Gayle and an outreach team went to Indonesia between the dates of 13th November - 10th December 2006.

Nias & Medan Report

Indonesia is a land with many diversities and cultural differences but it is a beautiful land and its people hungry for God. The first meetings in Medan were indeed wonderful with about 5-6,000 people attending the meetings every night, with another 2,000 attending the morning seminars. Within the 3 days I can conservatively say we reached around 20,000 people.

When I walked back into Medan, it was like “coming home” with familiar faces, the same streets, and the hall where we conducted the meetings 8 years ago - the very hall where the Lord healed me of breast cancer in 1995. We were very heartily received by the governor of the island of Sumatra who prepared a welcoming meal for us with some of the local committee.

To my utter surprise I found out that there are 25 million people in the unreached people groups of Sumatra that have not heard the gospel yet! What a mighty task is still ahead of us!

· The Lord moved powerfully in the meetings. One man who was bed ridden for over one year suddenly got up ‘healed’ and walked all through the hall with me.

· A young man, about 20 years of age, had been mentally impaired for the last 7 years. He could not communicate with his family in any form. Suddenly, during the preaching of the Word, he was completely healed. He even prayed the sinner’s prayer over the microphone with me in perfect English - his entire family got saved the same night. Praise the Lord!

· Countless signs and wonders happened – to many to even test or to tell about. However there is one that I found most amazing. She is an elderly lady with cancerous tumours over her eyes and forehead. During the meeting I suddenly felt to rebuke cancerous tumours - at that very moment the tumour over her eye burst and bled. I believe the Lord started that night with a wonderful work of healing for her.

· Like so often, in these countries the very rich and famous do not come to the normal meetings. In Medan, a private meeting for about 30 people were arranged in a restaurant. These were “professional business men in charge of oil rigs etc”. I had but one message- salvation - so that is what I preached! For 7 of these people - life would never be the same again as they made a there and then decision for Christ! I then went to the hotel to prepare for the night meeting and let them get on with their “business discussions”. I was not there for their money - I was there for their souls!
