David God's Partner
I don’t think David got God’s attention because he was so special.

I think he got God’s attention because he was a worshipper. He must have been worshipping God all the time behind that sheepfold. And the more he worshipped God, the more God became his partner. It’s actually very simple. When we read Psalm 22 we see that God indwells the praises of His people. So the more David worshipped, the more God indwelled his praises and became his partner in his daily affairs. Be it to overcome the bear, the lion or the giant. You can involve God in your daily affairs. Start with true worship. True worship involves God. God is not looking down from heaven and says: “Oh, look those people”. No, He comes himself to indwell the praises, however simple. God your partner.
